Palestinians in Gaza are trapped with little access to food, water, or electricity, and essential infrastructure such as homes, hospitals, refugee camps, and schools are being destroyed. Violence is also escalating in the West Bank, increasing the risk of broader regional conflict. A humanitarian ceasefire and respect for international humanitarian law are imperative to provide access to aid, ensure the safe passage of civilians, and address urgent needs.
